A Warm Welcome to Our Interim Organist!
Epiphany is very pleased to announce that Mr. Jeremy Paul Jelinek has accepted the position of Interim Organist and Choir Director. Jeremy has been helping to fill in as a supply organist over the last number of months and has repeatedly blessed Epiphany with his exceptional skill. Having started playing the organ when he was 4, Jeremy received his BA in Organ Performance from the Eastman School of Music in Rochester, New York, a Diploma in Organ Performance, Improvisation, and Gregorian Chant from Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique et de Danse de Paris, Paris, France and is currently a candidate for a Masters of Music in Organ Performance at The Julliard School here in New York. He has served as Principle Organist at St. Dominic Church, Assisting Organist at the Basilica of the National Shrine of the Immaculate Conception, and Principle Organist at Holy Trinity Catholic Church all in Washington, DC. He has received numerous awards and certifications as well as being currently contracted to publish music in the new edition of “The Michael’s Hymnal,” St. Michael’s Hymnal Publishing Co. He has performed extensively both nationally and internationally, most specifically in France, Switzerland and Germany. In addition to being fluent in French, he is also conversant in Italian. When not performing, studying, teaching or composing, Jeremy is an Iconographer in the Byzantine style and enjoys cooking.
